Practical help for Breath Cycle on iPhone.
Tell us what happened and we will help you find a calm, clear next step.
What should I include in a support email?
Include your Breath Cycle version, iPhone model, iOS version, and a brief description of what you expected and what happened. Please do not send health information or anything you would not want included in an email.
How do I restore Breath Cycle Pro?
Open Breath Cycle, then Settings, Breath Cycle Pro, and Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that originally subscribed.
How do I change or cancel a subscription?
Choose Manage Subscription inside Breath Cycle, or open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple manages billing, cancellation, trial eligibility, and refunds.
Where is my session data stored?
Your iPhone is the primary copy. Sessions, reflections, calibration results, custom patterns, and plan progress stay local unless a Pro subscriber separately enables Encrypted Pro Backup. The app encrypts that optional copy on the iPhone before it is stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage in the EU.
How do I enable or restore Encrypted Pro Backup?
Open Settings, then Your Data, and choose Enable Encrypted Pro Backup. Read and confirm the separate consent message. On another device using the same Apple Account, enable iCloud Keychain, install Breath Cycle, restore Pro, then choose Enable Encrypted Pro Backup or Restore and Merge. Backup requires a network connection and an active Pro subscription for upload or restore.
Why can’t a device decrypt my backup?
The encryption key is held in Apple Keychain and may synchronize through iCloud Keychain. Confirm that the same Apple Account and iCloud Keychain are active, then allow time for Keychain to sync. Do not delete local data until the restore is confirmed. If the key is no longer available on any device, neither Breath Cycle nor Cloudflare can read or recover that encrypted copy.
How do I delete the cloud copy?
Open Settings, Your Data, then Delete Cloud Backup. This works even if Pro has expired and does not delete local data. Turn backup off on your other devices too; an enabled device can otherwise create a new encrypted copy.
How do I export or delete my data?
Open Settings, then Your Data. You can export supported local records as JSON and CSV, delete local history, turn backup off, or delete the encrypted cloud copy. Local deletion and cloud deletion are separate controls.
Why are sound or haptics not playing?
Check Guidance in Breath Cycle Settings, then check iPhone volume, Focus mode, and system haptic settings. Haptics require supported iPhone hardware and do not work in Simulator.
What can I do if visuals feel slow?
Open Settings, then Advanced Visuals, and choose Test Performance. Keep Breath Cycle in the foreground for 30 to 45 seconds and apply the recommendation. Automatic, Metal, and Canvas remain available for manual troubleshooting.
Does Breath Cycle work offline?
Yes. Just Breathe and local session history work without an account or internet connection. Purchases, subscription verification, and optional backup synchronization require a connection. A backup failure never blocks a local breathing session.
Which devices are supported?
Breath Cycle 1.0 supports iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Apple Watch, HealthKit, and Breath Cycle accounts are not part of version 1.0. Optional encrypted Pro backup uses Apple StoreKit, iCloud Keychain, and Cloudflare R2.
